"When I arrived at the school to take photos I was amazed by how quiet it was - I couldn't hear children at all. Then as I walked along the veranda and looked into classrooms I realised the silence was actually the "sound" of reading and I was struck by all these kids totally absorbed in the peaceful pursuit of enjoying a book. Without education and literacy that can't happen and it made me realise how lucky we are in this country where everyone has the opportunity to learn to read."
