  • Martinsville and Henry Club, District Two - Phill-Up the Bus - Provided a school bus that was parked at Walmart for three days. The objective was to fill-up the school bus with school supplies. All local schools provided a list of needed supplies.
  • Rochester, NY, District Two - Create and present a Job Skills Programme for women
  • Ashville, NC, District Three - Provided gift bags for Meals on Wheels clients at Christmas
  • Greenwood, Mississippi, District Four - Provided Christmas gifts for needy children
  • Akron Ohio, District Five - Princess Night, assisted financial disadvantaged high school girls attend their prom.
  • Washington Court House, Ohio, District Five - "Coats for Kids",Over 800 coats, hats and gloves and age appropriate book were collected and distributed to local needy children, as well as inner city schools in the Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio areas.
  • Kokomo, Indiana, District Six. "Living in the Real World" - Students are initiated to "Real Life" in a program designed to give them the consequences of their career, education and lifestyle decisions. They were able to make a decision and then see the effect.
  • Dallas, Texas, District Nine - "Seminars for Safety",- developed a seminar series about crime prevention and personal safety.
  • Dallas Fort Worth District Nine - food drive for the underprivileged.
  • Portales, New Mexico, District Ten - provided eyeglasses for needy children and junior and high school students and seniors on a limited income.
  • Clovis, New Mexico, District Ten. - "In the Beginning" - Baskets containing Baby Einstein DVD, Lullaby CD, Children's Book, Stuffed Animal, Library Card Application and Altrusa Acknowledgement card are distributed to first time mothers under age 21 at their first post partum visit to the Clinic.
  • Indian Wells Valley, District Eleven - "Making a House a Home - Members spent one year providing various services to Habitat for Humanity, including providing lunches for workers, working on the homes and in the Habitat office. To give the project a unique twist members took the new homeowners shopping and help apply decorating touches to the home that were reflective of the owner's style.
  • Cabo Rojo, District Fourteen. "To Improve the Quality of Life of the Old Age Home of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico" - They adopted a Home for the elder, in which a number of persons are bedridden. The project included: restoration of the building, fixing and painting of furniture, buying new items for the home, looking for donations to the home. They had social gatherings with the residents, like celebrating their birthdays.
  • Arecibo, Puerto Rico, District Fourteen, "Parenting with Love" - provide a psycho-educational workshop that reinforces correct methods in education and discipline and discourages the "dictator or permissive" style of parenting. The workshop is composed of 8 sessions offered in two blocks: Active Child rearing - promoting self esteem and Discipline - developing responsibility.
