The new Altrusa year is now well underway and I would like to wish all of our new club presidents the very best for their year.  One of the greatest strengths of Altrusa is the development of leaders in a supportive environment and I know that all members will support their presidents as they develop their leadership skills over the next year.  It is great to hear about all the exciting service projects and fundraisers that clubs are working on.  Altrusans are truly Leaders in Service. Our challenge as an organisation is to tell more people about what we do and raise the profile of this wonderful organisation.  A great opportunity to do this lies in our new District Service project – The Altrusa Great Read.  If all our clubs get on board in their own communities and we are able to attract some national media attention this could be a great chance to put Altrusa on the map.
