International Service Projects
- "Adopt an Iraqi Village School" Altrusa International, Inc. of Pejepscot, Maine, District One
- Shipped basic school supplies of notebooks, ruled paper, tablets, colored pencils, #2 pencils, erasers, and chalk to Iraq to be distributed to the newly constructed schools.
- Heifer Project - Gainesville, Florida, District Three -- Heifer International works in over 125 countries to help families feed themselves earn income and care for the environment through gifts of producing or breeding animals or fowl. Expanded project to provide a Milk Menagerie: 1 heifer, 2 goats and a water buffalo.
- "Heifer Project" Tupelo, Mississippi District Four. This project is helping to remove hunger from third world countries. This year's contribution was the money for purchase of a water buffalo, a trio of rabbits, a goat, a flock of chickens and a pig. This project requires that recipients give one or more off spring to other needy families.
- "International Relations: A Year of Global Awareness" Saginaw, Michigan, District Five
- "International Exchange Student Day" which provided a free day of events, and financially sponsored a young woman through the program, For Haiti with Love, created and donated 30 school kits to Operation, Iraqi Children, and collected Campbell's "Labels for Education" on behalf of Children's Haven, International an orphanage for Mexican children.
- "Give A Sheet" Dallas, TX, District Nine - Bought bed sheets, pillows and blankets. Members also donated gently used linens to refugees from the Congo to the USA and inviting them to "sleep tight".
- "Neighbours with Nepal" Montrose Colorado, District Ten. Altrusans provided 5 huge duffel bags filled with clothing and books that were delivered to a Nepal school. ASTRA fund raiser provided a teacher for one year. Toiletries, snacks, cards and small games were sent to troops in foreign countries.
- "International Relations is Everyone's Business" Tuscon, Arizona, District Eleven provided scholarships through the International Student Revolving Loan Fund at the University of Arizona.
- "Positive Ripples" Te Awamutu, District Fifteen - supports a home for young girls rescued from the sex industry in Cambodia with vocational and literacy resources.
